Support Worker Role at Midway Care Group
We are looking for compassionate Support Workers to assist individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting people in developing and maintaining daily living skills.
2. Identifying and meeting the needs of those we care for.
3. Building and maintaining relationships with individuals, team members, and the local community.
4. Encouraging choices that respect the rights of people with learning disabilities.
5. Participating in care plans and encouraging active involvement in daily activities.
All applicants will undergo a telephone screening, competency-based interview, and onboarding checks including RTW, DBS, and references. New team members will receive induction training at our Acocks Green office, with travel expenses covered.
Some roles may require support workers of a specific gender or ethnicity, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
Working Hours and Requirements
Expected hours: 35 per week.
Required Criteria
* A desire to work with people and make a positive difference.
* Experience caring for or working with vulnerable adults.
Desired Criteria
* Care Certificate or willingness to obtain it.
* Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.
* Willingness to support individuals in their homes and community activities.
* Comfort with providing personal care.
* Strong morals and ethical standards.
* Interest in career progression into leadership roles.
* Desire for self-development with funded qualifications.
