Reporting to Nathan Stewart, Field Operations Brigg, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering new connections, repairs, restoration, reinforcement projects, and customer diversion projects, maintaining high customer expectations, safety standards, and adhering to strict time, cost, and quality parameters. The role requires availability for standby duties.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage projects related to maintenance, restoration, repairs, overhead lines, site safety, or new connections, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project parameters.
2. Plan and deliver a range of projects across multiple work streams, including repairs, maintenance, connections, or resource scheduling, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
3. Undertake reactive and planned fault repairs on overhead and underground networks, including complex cable faults, street lighting issues, and voltage irregularities.
4. Manage resources effectively on-site, including direct labor and contractors.
5. Communicate effectively with customers regarding project progress and safety practices.
6. Advise customers on safe working practices, especially near cables and overhead lines.
7. Provide accurate, timely reports on project status and progress.
8. Review completed projects against objectives and success criteria.
9. Progress operational authorizations and participate in standby rotations once criteria are met.
10. Coach and mentor trainees within the business.
11. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
12. Maintain operational knowledge relevant to the role.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential Qualifications:
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Knowledge of the distribution network
* Willingness to work towards full LV authorizations, including fault management
Desirable Qualifications:
* HNC Electrical Engineering
* Electrical Trade or Engineering Background
* Advanced knowledge of LV, HV, and EHV networks
* Experience with IT systems such as CRM, CRM GO, PMIT, QPID, ISMART
* Experience and knowledge of the distribution system, including cables, plant, and overhead lines
* Authorizations as U/G & O/H Person
