We are currently seeking a Production Planner to join our Manufacturing Team.
As a production planner, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating the day-to-day production activities and ensuring we meet production timelines without compromising quality or compliance. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic small-business environment where they can make a real impact.
The Role
* Create and maintain weekly and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and inventory levels
* Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging, and labels
* Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate last-minute changes, production delays, or supply issues
* Liaise with the production team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient use of resources
* Track work orders, batch records, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Follow established workflows to ensure accurate transaction processing (e.g., creating & processing WOs, tracking inventory and WIP)
* Work closely with quality control to schedule testing and ensure product release timelines are met
* Maintain accurate records of production schedules, materials usage, and output
Required Skills / Experience
* Previous experience in production planning or scheduling, ideally within food, supplements, or pharmaceutical manufacturing would be advantageous
* Strong Excel skills: experience with small business ERP systems is an advantage
* Understanding of supply chain, inventory control, and manufacturing processes would be beneficial
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills
* Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, or other regulatory compliance standards is a plus
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* A hands-on, team-oriented attitude
* Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes quickly
This is a full time office based role, Monday-Friday 37.5 hours.

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
