Retail security officer

We’re looking for a confident and professional Retail Security Officer to join our team in Damolly / Newry, helping to protect our people, products and store environment while delivering a safe and welcoming experience for customers. This is a full-time, permanent role with flexibility to work across daytime, evening and weekend shifts - ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility and being an integral part of the store team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Actively monitoring the store to identify, prevent and report incidents
• Operating and reviewing CCTV systems in line with company policies
• Supporting the enforcement of Health & Safety procedures
• Conducting investigations into stock loss, theft and fraud
• Engaging confidently and professionally with customers and colleagues to resolve situations calmly and effectively

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is alert, calm under pressure and confident in their approach, with a strong sense of responsibility and a customer-first mindset. Similar security experience isn’t essential, but the key skills and behaviours required include:

• Ability to follow procedures and remain composed in challenging situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence handling difficult conversations in a professional manner
• Sound judgement, honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic
• A supportive team player who takes pride in doing the right thing
