Senior DevOps Engineer - Azure Cloud
Hybrid (Derby) - £75,000pa to £85,000pa + Highly Competitive Package
We're supporting a national healthcare technology organisation looking for a hands‑on Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing Cloud & Platform Engineering function.
This is a delivery-focused role where you'll work directly on pipelines, automation, containerisation and secure cloud deployments, with real ownership across day‑to‑day engineering tasks.
This isn't an architectural or purely governance-led position - it's ideal for someone who enjoys building, improving and running modern DevSecOps tooling in an evolving Azure environment.
What you'll be doing:
1. Build, improve and support CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps
2. Implement IaC using Terraform/Bicep and contribute to module standardisation
3. Work with Azure container services (Container Apps, ACI, AKS where relevant)
4. Configure and maintain scanning, secrets management, policy enforcement and pipeline controls
5. Build secure network patterns including private endpoints, VNets and hybrid connectivity
6. Contribute to platform hardening, patching, and DevSecOps practices
7. Troubleshoot across identity, networking, containers, and pipeline execution
8. Collaborate closely with cloud engineers and the wider delivery teams
What we're looking for:
9. Strong recent hands‑on DevOps engineering experience
10. Solid Azure background (AWS awareness useful but not essential)
11. Practical containerisation experience (Docker, AKS/ACA/ACI)
12. Proven Terraform experience (authoring modules, reusable patterns, IaC pipelines)
13. Confident with CI/CD delivery and pipeline optimisation
14. Understanding of private endpoints, networking fundamentals and cloud‑native patterns
15. Someone hungry to grow, learn and evolve into broader responsibilities over time
