Design Manager
Residential & Mixed-Use Developments | Permanent
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 per annum + car allowance + benefits (depending on experience)
We are working in partnership with a well-established and growing construction and development management business to recruit an experienced Design Manager.
Our client is a privately owned company operating across residential and mixed-use developments, with a strong reputation for delivering well-coordinated, high-quality projects. The Role
As Design Manager, you will take responsibility for managing the design process from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring all design information is coordinated, compliant, and aligned with the construction programme.
Key responsibilities include:

Managing the design process across all project stages

Coordinating consultants, architects, and specialist designers
*
Reviewing and managing design information, drawings, and specifications
*
Ensuring design compliance with building regulations and employer’s requirements
*
Working closely with construction, commercial, and client teams
*
Identifying and resolving design risks and buildability issues
*
Supporting value engineering and design development exercises
About You
*
Proven experience in a Design Manager or Senior Design Coordinator role
*
Background working on residential or mixed-use developments
*
Strong understanding of design management and construction processes
*
Experience coordinating external consultants and design teams
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
*
Relevant construction or design qualifications preferred
