Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical principles and demonstrate proficiency in various engineering software and tools. This role involves designing, analysing, and improving mechanical systems, ensuring they meet both performance and safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues in mechanical systems and propose effective solutions.
* Utilise Simulink for system modelling and simulation to enhance design processes.
* Implement and programme logic controllers for automation of mechanical systems.
* Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in design specifications.
* Create detailed designs using SolidWorks and CAD software, ensuring accuracy and functionality.
* Develop algorithms and models using MATLAB for system analysis and optimisation.
* Demonstrate comprehensive mechanical knowledge to support the design and development of new products.
* Interpret schematics to assist in the assembly and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the system design phase to ensure all requirements are met.
* Utilise LabVIEW for data acquisition and control of automated systems.
Skills
* Proficient in root cause analysis methodologies to resolve engineering challenges effectively.
* Experience with Simulink for modelling complex systems.
* Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
* Familiarity with GD&T standards for precise engineering documentation.
* Advanced skills in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and design creation.
* Competence in MATLAB for mathematical computing and algorithm development.
* Strong mechanical knowledge applicable to various engineering projects.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
