We are looking for an HR Generalist or experienced HR Administrator/Coordinator with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude to join our team supporting our school and adult social care and support services functions. Role summary
The Assistant HR Business Partner delivers an efficient and responsive HR service, acting as the first point of contact for employees and managers on a range of people-related matters. The role supports the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management and leaver processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to best practice.
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, they will also support payroll input, absence management, and training coordination, while maintaining GDPR compliance and contributing to a positive employee experience and continuous improvement of all HR processes

How will you contribute to the Team?
11. Support stakeholders across Jigsaw with HR matters, providing advice and support to ensure best outcomes
12. Manage the full recruitment process, ensuring adherence to Safer Recruitment practices
13. Monitor new starter pre-employment checks to meet statuary obligations and regulatory body standards
14. Support the employee life cycle, managing new starter, change and leaver processes
15. Promote a vigilant culture around GDPR, ensuring data is protected and appropriately managed within the team and across Jigsaw
16. Support the completion of payroll, ensuring high accuracy and timely submission
17. Support effective absence management and ongoing engagement and wellbeing of staff team to ensure staff are happy and healthy at work
To be successful in this role you will need:
18. A HR generalist or experienced HR Administrator/Assistant/Coordinator looking for the next step in your career
19. Experience in education, social care and/or the third sector would be an advantage
20. An excellent communicator with the ability to build credibility, trust and respect at all levels of seniority
21. A proactive team player with a can-do attitude and the ability to lend a hand wherever is needed
22. Organised with strong administration skills and the ability to complete tasks in a logical manner with a high attention to detail
23. Numerate, with an understanding of payroll from an HR perspective
24. CIPD qualified or equivalent qualifications would be an advantage
Salary: £32000
Contract terms: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours between 8.00am to 5.00pm (Specific hours to be agreed)
Annual Leave: 25 Days plus 8 Bank Holidays
