We’re supporting a major construction programme in Somerset (not HPC) with the appointment of an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to join the project team on a permanent basis.
This is a key site based role supporting high profile construction and fit out activities across a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will play a visible role in driving standards, supporting operational teams and ensuring a proactive safety culture across the programme.
Experience within fit out, complex internal works or working at height environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day to day HSE support across construction and fit out activities
* Conduct site inspections, audits and behavioural observations
* Support RAMS reviews and permit systems
* Work closely with site management and subcontractors to drive compliance and engagement
* Lead investigations into incidents, near misses and unsafe acts
* Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings
* Monitor working at height activities and ensure best practice standards are maintained
* Support client reporting and project compliance requirements
* Promote a positive and solutions focused safety culture on site
Requirements
* Proven experience within construction project environments
* Strong knowledge of fit out or working at height operations
* Confident engaging with subcontractors and operational teams
* Experience on large scale construction programmes preferred
* Strong communication and reporting skills
* Full UK driving licence
