We have a great opportunity for a Through the Gate Support Worker. The position will be a home-based role, but the expectation is that you will be participant facing working in prisons, hubs and probation offices across the region as required as part of a programme aimed at supporting ex-offenders back into the community. You will provide peripatetic cover across the region supporting participants through the gate. You will support the team to facilitate and complete a three-way handover meeting either by face-to-face, video conferencing or telephone. You will act as a single point of contact for when participants have been released from prison, ensuring they engage with their support workers accordingly. Location: Home Based with travel to prisons/hubs across Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk as required. Salary: £26,049 - £31,790 per annum We are looking for people who have: * Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a proactive and solution-focused approach. * Strong interpersonal communication skills, including active listening and motivational skills, to support participants from diverse backgrounds. * A demonstrated commitment to the rehabilitation of prisoners and the ability to work independently, providing support. * An awareness, understanding, and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults. * The ability to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service Check at an enhanced level and successfully pass prison vetting. * Access to a vehicle.
