We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in a primary school setting who may display challenging behaviours or require extra guidance to engage positively in their learning. This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape young lives and make a real difference in the classroom.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural, social, or emotional needs, encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop strategies for self-regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with behavioural, social, or emotional needs.
* Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop strategies for self-regulation.
* Work alongside teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
* Act as a positive role model, building trust and confidence in pupils.
* Track progress and share feedback with staff and parents/carers where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children, ideally within a primary school, youth work, or childcare setting.
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
* A nurturing, patient, and empathetic approach.
* Ability to form positive and supportive relationships with pupils.
* A proactive and resilient attitude with a passion for helping young people achieve their best.
