Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Learning and Development Support Officer to join a small team within our award winning OD, Talent Management and Resourcing service.

This post offered on an 18.5 hour per week basis will be shared between modern office accommodation and home working, and will be part of a team supporting the delivery and co-ordination of learning and development programmes and projects primarily but not exclusively to Neighbourhoods and Environment (NE) and Regeneration, Economy and Growth (REG) service areas.

Working within a professional and experienced team this role involves undertaking all work associated with the training cycle including identifying requirements, commissioning/coordination training and evaluation. Excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills are prerequisites for success.

Responsibilities

* Identify training requirements and coordinate the commissioning and evaluation of training and development programmes and projects for NE and REG service areas.
* Manage the training cycle end-to-end.
* Support the delivery and coordination of learning and development programmes within a professional team.
* Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and customer service skills.


Qualifications

You should be qualified to Level 2 in a relevant subject e.g. Business Administration, HR or equivalent with high levels of communication and organisational skills.

Hybrid Working

Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
