We’re working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Enfield that’s on the lookout for a passionate Design & Technology Teacher to join their team. Whether your strength is Product Design, Resistant Materials, or a mix of disciplines, this is a brilliant opportunity to inspire students and bring practical learning to life.
What you’ll be doing
* Deliver engaging and hands-on Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and independent thinking through practical projects
* Support students of varying abilities, adapting lessons to ensure inclusive learning
* Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment
* Manage behaviour effectively, creating a focused and positive classroom culture
* Work collaboratively with the wider department to develop schemes of work and share best practice
What we’re looking for
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary school setting
* Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
* Confident across at least one DT specialism (e.g. Resistant Materials, Product Design, Graphics)
* A proactive, enthusiastic approach with a genuine passion for practical learning
* Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
