Overview
Pharmacy Colleague role at Asda in Brighton. Part time, permanent position with days shift pattern and 21 hours per week. Pay rate £12.45 per hour. Closing date: 7 October 2025.
To be employed in this role you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check. Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a wide variety of shift patterns. Weekend working is a requirement, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern.
Responsibilities
* Support the Pharmacist with the delivery and effective record keeping of patient services (e.g., blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes).
* Assemble and process prescriptions accurately; collect prescriptions from doctor surgeries on behalf of customers and bring them to the store for collection.
* Drive awareness of extra services offered in Pharmacy (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews).
* Assist with providing friendly, confident service and guidance to customers, including discussing personal health issues and directing customers to the right products.
* Develop understanding of Standard Operating Procedures and follow them to meet customer expectations.
* Support customers and team to ensure a positive healthcare experience.
* Complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and progress to training as a Dispensing Assistant as part of pharmacy training.
