DAIRY TECHNICIAN / ASSISTANT SCIENTIFIC OFFICER
Location: Hillsborough
Hours: 37hrs per week, working 5 days out of 7 and will include weekends
Duration: up to 3 months
Pay: £ per hour

Job role:
Assisting a team of technical staff to undertake livestock experiments. The role will require working closely with livestock, and may involve manual handling of livestock, operating agricultural equipment, weighing out experimental diets, collecting experimental samples (forages, feed, milk, urine, faeces etc), processing samples, and recording data. The latter may involve inputting and checking data on computerised systems and production of summary data reports. The role will involve outdoor work in all weather. The ability to work weekends on a rota basis is essential to the role, as is some early morning working and evening working. The role will involve a large amount of milling of samples, which involves working in a dusty environment.
Essential Criteria:
1. 5 GCSE's including Science, Math's & English language (Grades A*-C for subjects specified) or equivalent
2. Experience of working with dairy cattle
3. Experience of working within a farm environment
