Our client is a leading European manufacturer and, with a commitment to innovation, they deliver high-performance solutions to global partners.Your new role In this newly created position, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of various projects, managing and mentoring a small team and ensuring seamless integration between programmes and accounting functions.Main duties:Manage the full project lifecycle financially including budget setup, monitoring, forecasting and reportingEnsure all project accounting is in compliance with company policies and accounting standards (IFRS15)Liaise effectively with various project stakeholders to establish and implement best practices for project financial tracking, analysis and reportingIdentify opportunities for process improvements and design/deliver training sessions to both the Project Accountants and Project Managers on best practicesCreate and maintain a collaborative link with the financial accounting team to support cash forecasting, budget preparation and financial planningPrepare and present comprehensive project financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing key insight and analysisEnsure all project accounting activities are audit-ready and support internal/external audits as requiredManagement of a small team, providing regular support and training What you'll need to succeed Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post-qualification experienceStrong understanding of general accounting principles and proceduresPrevious experience in project accounting and knowledge of project management methodologies (highly preferred)Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to manage and develop finance teamsHighly proficient with Excel and accounting software/ERP systemsWhat you'll get in return In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £65,000 per annum (depending on experience) and be given the opportunity to join a thriving business that is going from strength-to-strength.
