What you’ll be doing:
Join us in the fight against global financial crime. At Ripjar, our engineers are building Labyrinth Screening — an advanced AI-powered platform that helps major financial institutions detect and prevent money laundering and fraud in real time. Your work will directly protect people and organisations from criminal networks around the world.
You’ll contribute to our customers’ success by designing, developing and shipping features to prevent money laundering and financial crime.
Some of the key technology challenges facing the team this year include:
* Developing our scalable, multi-tenant, cloud-based SaaS-first architecture.
* Upgrading our DevOps tooling to ship code fast with certainty.
* Harnessing the power of Labyrinth Screening to work with new types of data at scale within Ripjar’s wider financial crime solutions.
As a Software Engineer on the Labyrinth Screening team, you’ll:
* Design, develop, and ship cutting-edge features that stop criminals in their tracks.
* Shape our scalable, multi-tenant, cloud-first architecture to handle billions of data points.
* Upgrade and evolve our DevOps ecosystem to deliver code rapidly and confidently.
* Collaborate across disciplines — engineering, product, UX, and operations— to turn bold ideas into reliable, production-ready solutions.
* Continuously improve our platform’s performance, reliability, and developer experience.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have these skills:
We’re looking for passionate engineers who love solving complex problems and building great software. You don’t need to tick every box — if you’re curious, adaptable, and ready to grow, we want to hear from you.
Ideally, you’ll bring experience with some of the following:
* JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React) or Python
* Distributed systems and event streaming (Kafka, Kubernetes)
* Databases and search indexes (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch)
* Modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
