Our client, based in Swindon, are currently recruiting for a Gas Engineer on a 3-month temporary contract.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis, offering an hourly rate of £37.00 per hour and a mileage reimbursement rate.
The ideal candidate will have experience carrying out works across void properties and be gas safe registered.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Carrying out Landlord Gas Safety Record (LGSR) inspections in line with statutory requirements
2. Completing gas repairs and maintenance works in void properties to ensure homes are safe and ready for re-let
3. Installing, servicing and repairing gas appliances including boilers/central heating systems, cookers, heaters and gas fires
4. Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective remedial works
5. Accurately completing certification, records and job documentation, including LGSRs
6. Maintaining Gas Safe registration and holding relevant qualifications including CCM, cookers, heaters and fires
Experience required:
7. Experience required in Social Housing
8. Experience working with customers within housing
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
9. Working with cookers, firers and heaters
10. Experience of landlord safety checks
