About The Role
WHSmith are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Night Sales Assistant to join their team. As a Night Sales Assistant within our Heathrow Airport stores you’ll be working shifts as part of the team working hard through the night in our busiest stores. Unlike your colleagues working the day shifts you’ll usually have less interaction with customers working these shifts, but that doesn’t mean the customer experience isn’t at the heart of the role. Your work is key to ensuring our customers’ journey gets off to the best start.
No matter what you do, you’ll play a big part in helping to drive results through using your initiative to meet deadlines and get the job done to a high standard and as efficiently as possible. The role requires shift work and there are opportunities for career development with training.
As a Night Sales Assistant your key responsibilities include:
1. You’ll check and unpack deliveries
2. re-stock shelves
3. Implement new and exciting promotional campaigns
4. Making sure the store is ready before the doors open for customers in the morning
5. To always deliver a friendly service, smiling, greeting and making eye contact with every customer you encounter
6. Meeting high standards of display and visual merchandising to ensure the store is well presented, accurately following planograms
7. Targeted on having appropriate Till Point Conversations with every customer to add on sales and increase the average transaction value
8. Working as an active member of the team, supporting colleagues in all tasks
9. Demonstrating good product knowledge to customers on key promotions and offers, maximising selling opportunities
10. Approaching customers that may require assistance if you are on the shop floor
Night premium of £2 per hour is paid for hours worked between 00:00 - 04:59
