Data & Compliance Protection Assistant
Hybrid Working (3 days in office)
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the UK Legal and Regulatory Team of a leading international organisation, based near Solihull.
This role is ideal for anyone with a keen interest in the regulatory or compliance sector as the role offers progression, or a Law graduate who is keen not to pursue the lawyer route.
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel & Data Protection Officer, you will provide vital support across data protection compliance activities and legal administrative tasks, gaining exposure to a wide range of matters in a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Data Protection Compliance
2. Processing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) in line with UK data protection laws.
3. Assisting with reviewing and responding to data protection–related complaints.
4. Supporting the DPO on routine audits (data processors, information assets, cookies, international transfers).
5. Drafting and reviewing basic data protection policies and procedures under supervision.
6. Assisting with the implementation of Data Retention Policies.
7. Carrying out ad-hoc research into data protection matters.
