Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK’s only international high-speed railway (HS1) owned by London St. Pancras Highspeed.
The 109km London St. Pancras Highspeed infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts and long tunnels. NRHS is also responsible for operating and maintaining three international stations; St Pancras, Stratford and Ebbsfleet International.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client London St. Pancras Highspeed, undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations - through to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.

Brief Description
The Role
We are looking for an Electrification & Plant (E&P) Asset Engineer to support the production of Route Asset Management and investment plans. In this role you will provide engineering input to the specification and management of inspection and maintenance activities, develop technical scopes for renewals, and investigate or resolve technical/quality issues across the E&P asset portfolio.
You will also use your engineering expertise to ensure that projects within your discipline are delivered safely and in compliance with the relevant technical standards.
You will contribute to the development and implementation of asset management policies, standards and specifications to ensure E&P assets are maintained to the required level of safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide engineering input to the specification and management of E&P inspection and maintenance contracts, resolving technical and quality issues with suppliers.
* Identify inspection and maintenance requirements for E&P assets, evaluating and assessing outputs in line with policy, systems and standards.
* Monitor trends in asset condition, maintenance works, failures and precursors, taking action to predict and prevent recurrence.
* Support incident investigations as required.
* Input into the development of assurance plans and undertake asset verification activities to confirm compliance with policy and standards.
* Contribute to the development of maintenance, renewal and enhancement plans, including prioritised workbanks.
* Support project development, implementation and handover for renewal and enhancement works.
* Maintain accurate E&P asset information within asset management systems.

About the role (External)
The person
So, who are we looking for? If you can match the essential criteria below, then we look forward to receiving your application.
* Incorporated Engineer, or working towards membership of a relevant professional institution.
* HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject.
* Experience of asset management activities within an engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of safety management systems and risk assessment techniques.
* Knowledge of engineering standards and policies (ideally E&P specific).
Although it isn’t essential, it would be an extra plus if you had:
* Chartered Engineer status
* Membership of a relevant professional institution

We follow a structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the following pay range:
Salary: £43,588 - £51,719 plus inner London allowance (£3,270)
The role will be based at One Stratford Place, with frequent travel to other office and site locations along the High Speed route.
