Job Role
We’re currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our IT team on a 12 month fixed term contract, where you'll play a key role in supporting projects within the Digital, Data, and Technology directorate. Your expertise will help ensure the seamless integration of technical initiatives across the organisation.
The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for thoroughly investigating, analysing, and documenting new projects, processes, and initiatives to facilitate their timely and budget-conscious delivery. They will ensure operational requirements are fully considered, enabling the organisation to achieve its expected business benefits while minimising disruption to BAU activities.
The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience as a Business Analyst, backed by a strong track record in technical, digital, and IT project delivery. Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills are essential, as success in this role depends on effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Location: Flexible - Remote Working
Hours: 37 hours a week. Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm - 12 month fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities
• Delivery of agreed business analytics to time and quality parameters.
• Effectively identify and codify risks, requirements, and dependencies, using appropriate business analytics tools and techniques.
• Aid in the creation of the initial requests for changes and business cases and contribute to the identification of potential solutions to issues.
• Professional representation of the department at inter-function, dept, and group meetings.
• Engage and support stakeholder involvement to aid their participation, and to support achievement of the project’s deliverables.
• Engage and work with PM’s and Program Managers to ensure the realisation of benefits during the project lifecycle.
• Assist and aid team members including other Business Analysts, frontline staff, and non-IT project members.
• Produce timely and relevant reports and analytics for the key stakeholders and the PM team.
Skills and Experience
Essential
• 5 years plus experience as a Business Analyst, with a proven track record of technical/digital/IT delivery.
• Experience of working to ISO/GDPR/Cyber Essentials Plus standards.
• Experience of working with senior business leaders and interpreting and translating their strategic plans into project specifications.
• Experience in working on major IT projects and programmes.
Desirable
• Graduate level degree in appropriate discipline or related qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a PMO function, including document management and creation.
• Experience of engaging with multiple management and frontline levels, across technical and non-technical users and business units, in a related industry/sector/business.
• A proven track record of stakeholder management.
• Experience on working on private and public sector projects.
• Member of relevant professional body.
