Location: Reading, GP Surgery
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 per annum

On behalf of a leading GP surgery in Reading, Healthii People is recruiting a full-time Pharmacist to join a highly rated and innovative healthcare team. The practice supports over 32,000 patients, including more than 9,000 university students, and operates as a standalone Primary Care Network (PCN), enabling agile, patient-focused decision-making.

The Role
As a full-time Pharmacist, you'll work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality medication-related care, optimise prescribing, and ensure safe medicines use.
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Manage and reauthorise repeat prescriptions
Conduct telephone and face-to-face medication reviews
Contribute to chronic disease clinics (where trained)
Reconcile medications after hospital discharge
Provide medication-related telephone support to patients and clinicians
Prescribe and review medicines for care home residents
Perform clinical audits and support the Prescribing Incentive Scheme
Ensure compliance with MHRA safety alerts and CQC standards
Train visiting students and support learning within the team
Manage secondary care prescription requests
Build effective links with local community pharmacists
Provide QOF reviews, flu vaccinations, and minor illness management (experience dependent)The Team
You'll be joining a well-supported, experienced multidisciplinary team that includes:
5 Pharmacists and 1 Pharmacy Technician
GPs (Partners and Salaried)
Paramedics, a Physician Associate

Person Specification
Essential:
GPhC-registered pharmacist
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience
Independent Prescriber (or willing to complete training)
UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Strong clinical, interpersonal, and IT skillsDesirable:
Primary care or GP surgery experience
Royal Pharmaceutical Society membership
Confident in clinical audits, prescribing safety, and QOF work
Teaching or mentoring experience
Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative in approach
