Salary: £45,427 – £48,691 (including £5,000 market supplement)
Location: Fleet, Hampshire
Working arrangements: Hybrid (Up to 80% home working)

Hays is excited to be working with Hart District Council to recruit a Senior Policy Planner at a pivotal moment in the authority’s planning journey. Hart is about tomence the development of its new Local Plan under the revised plan-making system, making this a particularly exciting time for a skilled planning professional to join the team and help shape the future of the district.

This role offers the chance to take ownership of planning policy projects, support the development of Hart’s new Local Plan, and play a key role in shaping the district’s future. You’ll be joining a weing and collaborative team, with the opportunity to lead on key policy projects and contribute to strategic planning.

What you will bring
10. Hart is seeking a motivated and capable planning policy professional with relevant post-qualification experience. The ideal candidate will have:
11. Good understanding of planning legislation, policy, and emerging national reforms
12. Experience leading planning projects and providing policy advice
13. Strongmunication, research, and stakeholder engagement skills
14. A proactive and customer-focused approach
15. Experience of working collaboratively across teams
16. Confidence in presenting at public meetings and contributing to consultations
