Field Debt Resolution Officer – Manchester & Northwest
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and professional Field Debt Resolution Officer to join a rapidly growing team focused on reshaping how the energy industry approaches commercial debt recovery.
Based in Manchester and covering the Northwest (with an ideal candidate residing in Warrington), this field-based role involves visiting business customers face-to-face to prevent further debt and support sustainable debt resolution. The role is non-technical, emphasizing professionalism, empathy, and assertive rapport-building over traditional debt collection experience.
Candidate Profile:
* Minimum 12 months’ field debt resolution experience in any industry or discipline.
* High professionalism with strong leadership and communication skills.
* Calm and composed under pressure with excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Proactive and adaptable, able to manage competing priorities effectively.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
* Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel and stay away when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct on-site visits to commercial customers to recover debt and facilitate meter installations.
* Train, coach, and mentor engineers to build confidence and professionalism in B2B debt operations.
* Lead or support small teams on Warrant of Entry visits, ensuring safety and compliance.
* Collaborate closely with support teams to enhance field operations and customer outcomes.
* Provide accurate reporting and feedback to support continuous process improvement.
* Resolve or escalate customer disputes aligned with company values and regulatory standards.
