About the Role
As a Buyer, you will utilise professional procurement practices to obtain goods and services critical to the delivery of our products. Your efforts will support the seamless integration of these products into our customers' working plants by ensuring high quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of purchased items and services. You will take ownership of projects from a Supply Chain perspective, developing strong supplier relationships and maximising commercial advantages in line with our quality programs and initiatives. This role is ideal for someone eager to tackle new challenges, expand technical and interpersonal capabilities, and grow through a variety of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities
5. Establish and maintain production, material, inventory, and purchase plans to support the master schedule
6. Plan deliveries by managing supplier lead times and customer needs while meeting inventory targets
7. Track purchase order status, resolve past-due orders, and correct invoicing or supply issues
8. Maintain master data integrity including item masters and BOMs
9. Liaise with commercial teams regarding delivery and availability
10. Oversee MRP and collaborate with the Manchester purchasing team
11. Lead competitive sourcing and low-value purchase negotiations
12. Participate in cost, inventory, and lead-time reduction initiatives
13. Monitor service levels and quality of incoming products
14. Coordinate material planning and forecasting with inter-company teams
15. Expedite inter-company orders to meet delivery deadlines
16. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
17. Investigate and implement VMI opportunities
18. Liaise with overseas vendors and research new markets, products, and processes
19. Attend meetings and communicate actionable items for project completion
20. Ensure timely issuance of project documentation

24. Plan and organise personal workload effectively
Qualifications & Skills
Essential:
25. Experience with solid knowledge of methods and processes
26. Understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, machining, and inspection techniques
27. Experience with ERP systems (., JDE)
28. Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
29. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documents
30. Strong negotiation and critical path management skills
Desirable:
31. APICS or MCIPS certification
32. Experience in a project-based environment
33. Background in industrial mixing applications
34. Knowledge of Machinery, PED, and ATEX Directives
