Job title: Development Engineer / Technical Analyst Location: United Kingdom Who are we recruiting for? What will you be doing? Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies using wind, solar, and GIS data to estimate energy output and capacity. Create and optimise conceptual layouts using tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, PVcase, and Helioscope. Analyse resource and yield assessments from meteorological towers and remote sensors, ensuring accuracy and uptime of measurement equipment. Collaborate with engineering and environmental teams to refine project layouts and address site constraints. Provide technical support to third-party consultants, support land acquisition and permitting processes, and contribute technical insights during procurement and project execution. Prepare detailed reports and maintain organized documentation of designs, calculations, and project assumptions. Are you the ideal candidate? The ideal candidate will have: A degree in STEM (Physics, Advanced Mathematics, Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field). Over 5 years of experience in renewable energy projects, particularly in solar, wind, or battery energy storage systems (BESS). Proficiency in design and resource assessment tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, and WindFarmer. Experience with wind/solar met towers and remote sensing technologies preferred. Familiarity with UK grid and planning regulations, with GIS experience (QGIS/ArcGIS) and visualization tools (Revit) as bonuses. What's in it for you?
