About the Role:
Are you looking for an opportunity to play a key role in supporting engineering and maintenance operations? We're seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team and help manage the day-to-day running of our Engineering/Maintenance spares store.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Support daily operations of the spares store, including parts collection/delivery, stock checks, receipting, issuing, and storage.
2. Maintain accurate inventory records using Maximo, ensuring smooth stock movements.
3. Assist with future developments of the Maximo inventory system.
4. Provide cover for the Inventory Controller during holidays or sickness.
5. Take responsibility for annual and rolling stock checks, ensuring accuracy.
6. Deliver and collect materials and equipment on-site and off-site.
7. Support routine maintenance of company vehicles, including refueling and cleaning.
8. Liaise with external vehicle maintenance providers.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and infrastructure development for future projects and plant shutdowns.
10. Uphold best Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) practices and support their implementation across engineering and production environments.
11. Maintain housekeeping standards in all storage areas.
Your Skills and Experience:
12. Familiarity with maintenance parts/equipment and engineering terminology (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation).
13. Understanding of stock control procedures and stores operations.
14. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with stock control software is advantageous.
15. Forklift license preferred (training can be provided).
