The Estimator Role Working in a busy and established Estimating Department this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to join this thriving contractor.
Key Responsibilities Include: Set up cost plan for projects Produce take-offs and measure specific items Produce final compilation of tenders Issue tender packages to sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring all the relevant information is provided.
List tender enquiries Ensure sub-contractor quotations are received back by the specified date, set out by management.
Arrange and attend site visits with sub-contractors Build relationships with architects and quantity surveyors Attend and contribute to client and internal meetings Identify areas where improvements in tender ratio can be achieved.
The Estimator: A minimum five years previous experience in a similar role with enthusiasm and a strong desire to succeed.
A strong commercial awareness.
Organised and methodical with experience working to strict deadlines.
Awareness of different types of contract.
The ability to communicate and share information within a team structure.
