We are currently seeking Principal Electrical Engineers to join our team in the North West. This role can be based out of our offices in Manchester or Warrington where you will grow our reputation within the local community and Water Business, by providing EICA design services for a range of projects. As an experienced EICA Engineer, you will work in multidisciplinary teams and liaise with Project Managers, Design Managers and Design Engineers as well as clients, supply chain partners, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the projects and community. You will be involved in projects from optioneering and concept design through to outline and detailed design as well as feasibility studies, site surveys and site investigations. Responsibilities
* Provide EICA design services for projects within the Water business, working in multidisciplinary teams and liaising with Project Managers, Design Managers, Design Engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors and other stakeholders.
* Engage in projects from optioneering and concept design through outline and detailed design, feasibility studies, site surveys and site investigations.
* Lead and contribute to the development of design designs of solutions, including technical specifications, control philosophies, EICA schedules and drawings, and related reports.
* Produce engineering deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams, General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models and Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, and provide input to other engineering disciplines for multidisciplinary outputs.
* Understand DSEAR and its requirements regarding EICA design and installation (advantageous).
* Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to deliver technical presentations to clients and other design engineers; participate in workshops, HAZOPs and ALMs.
* Act as a leader and mentor to junior engineers.
* Contribute to business growth and development, with focus on Water sector opportunities; experience in energy, infrastructure or environmental sectors is valued.
Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related subject. Ideally Chartered or Incorporated with several years of EICA engineering design experience.
* Experience in writing technical specifications, control philosophies, EICA schedules and drawings, and related reports.
* Proficiency in producing Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams, General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models and P&ID inputs.
* Ability to collaborate with other disciplines to enable multidisciplinary outputs.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver technical presentations; comfortable with workshops and collaborative design discussions.
* Experience in the Water sector is an advantage; experience in energy, infrastructure or environmental sectors is also valued.
* Leadership and mentoring capability for junior engineers.
