Position:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Technician Higher Level based at University Hospital Ayr.
What you will do:
You will be responsible for leading the provision, co-ordination and development of Distribution services. Training and supporting all Pharmacy staff and Pharmacy students within Distribution. Key responsibilities may change in line with the needs of the service but will include, processing routine and ad-hoc requests, updating stock-lists, producing training timetables, supervising and training staff and working alongside the technical team. In addition, you will participate in supporting the provision of the department dispensary service undertaking higher level technician roles and responsibilities along with your role as an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You must have experience of working in hospital pharmacy as a qualified pharmacy technician, including distribution, dispensary, ward or clinical experience, and be registered in the UK. You will possess the qualification: SQA Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician and the PDA Assessment & Supply of individual patient’s medicines and the L&D9DI Assessor for SVQ.
