The Opportunity
Are you passionate about food safety and ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? Walkers Deli is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Food Safety Technologist to join our Technical team. Reporting to the Food Safety Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving our food safety systems.
* Lead and complete site validation programmes (e.g. allergen, species, cooking, cooling, metal detection).
* Support the management and continuous improvement of the site’s HACCP system.
* Maintain and update allergen and species risk assessments, ensuring action close-out.
* Manage CCP controls and ensure timely resolution of any non-conformances.
* Assist with audits, customer visits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate

* Degree in Food Science, Technology, Microbiology, or equivalent experience in food safety.
* Experience in a food manufacturing environment, ideally with chilled/meat products.
* Intermediate HACCP training and understanding of BRC and retailer standards.
* Strong analytical, report writing, and communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident working with data and statistics.
