This particular branch provides an exceptional service of Trailer and Truck Service, Digital Tachograph Legal Inspection and 24 hour assistance. Your role would be responsible for maintaining commercial vehicles and trailers to MOT standard.\n\nMain Duties and Responsibilities for the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / PSV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer:\n\n * Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to DVSA standard\n\n * Diagnose and rectify all types of faults\n\n * Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside or at customer’s premises\n\n * Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises\n\n * Liaise with the parts department to attain relevant parts\n\n * Ensure health and safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to\n\n * Ensure appropriate clocking is made, all job cards and\n\n * service sheets are completed in a timely manner\n\n * Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness\n\n * Maintain a thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses\n\nRequirements for the HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician / PSV Mechanic / Truck Mechanic / Fleet Engineer / Fleet Maintenance Engineer:\n\n * Technical qualification (City and Guilds level 3 or NVQ qualified technician)\n\n * Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlines\n\n * Ability to work under pressure and seek solutions to problems\n\n * Excellent communication skills\n\n * Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks\n\n * Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements\n\n * Computer literate\n\n * Current Drivers licence\n\n * HGV Licence and Fork Lift Licence (desired but not essential)\n\n * Ability to work as part of a team\n\nIf you would like to apply for this HGV Technician role then please send your CV to Danica Baker at Sprint Recruitment
