New Directions Education are seeking a Trainee Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and community-focused primary school in Bootle. This full-time, long-term role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role:
• Deliver one-to-one and small group support for pupils, including those with additional needs or EHCPs.
• Help maintain a positive and safe classroom atmosphere, supporting children with learning activities and emotional regulation.
• Support outdoor learning activities as part of the school’s Forest School programme, encouraging curiosity and confidence in a natural setting.
• Apply transferable skills from care, psychology, nursing, or related backgrounds to build trusting relationships, encourage positive behaviour, and promote pupil wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Has experience in care, psychology, nursing, or a related role involving support for children or vulnerable people.
• Can provide a reference covering relevant experience with children or in a similar support capacity within the last 5 years.
• Holds or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
