Overview
Mental Health Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Mental Health (In patient Service). This is a band 7 role within Glasgow City HSCP for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner / trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Annex 21) in Adult Mental Health services at Stobhill Hospital. The post is permanent, 37 hours per week, with a Monday–Friday 9am–5pm shift pattern. The ANP will work at a senior level of advanced practice with accountability for the complete care of highly complex patients within Adult Mental Health wards. Care and treatments are delivered through a multi-disciplinary team approach, in collaboration with partner agencies, based on best practice and person-centred, rights-based care.
Responsibilities
* Provide advanced clinical leadership and ensure high-quality care for adults with complex mental health needs within inpatient settings.
* Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and care planning in line with evidence-based practice and person-centred approaches.
* Deliver care and make clinical decisions at an advanced level, under appropriate supervision, with accountability for patient outcomes.
* Collaborate with partner agencies to coordinate comprehensive care and discharge planning.
Qualifications and Requirements
* First level Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or RNLD with current NMC registration and substantial relevant post-registration experience.
* Masters level qualification required for Band 7 ANP; it is expected that the Masters study will take 18–24 months to complete.
* Eligible for Annex 21 as a trainee position where applicable; cannot appoint at a lower grade due to experience, education, and clinical decision-making requirements.
* With demonstrated relevant post-registration training and experience as outlined in the Job Description.
