The role
As an Investor Relations Analyst, you will help craft and communicate Babcock’s equity investment case bringing data to life, informing capital markets, and enabling long‑term, sustainable value creation. It’s a role at the intersection of defence, aerospace and engineering, where your work supports programmes that are essential to national security and public infrastructure offering rare exposure, professional stretch, and a platform to grow your career.
Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with our Director of Investor Relations and wider IR team to shape messaging, prepare market‑facing materials, and respond to analyst and investor queries.
1. Deliver investor communications build results presentations, briefings, and materials for sell‑side conferences, seminars and roadshows.
2. Develop clear investment messaging grounded in robust analysis and insight.
3. Respond to analyst and investor queries as a credible point of contact, maintaining deep knowledge of our investment case and financials.
4. Support management at meetings and events capture themes and questions to inform future communications.
5. Maintain and analyse CRM records of investor interactions to surface trends and areas of interest.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office and days working from home.
Essential experience of the Investor Relations Analyst / Associate
6. Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with demonstrable experience in a finance role (Group or commercial).
7. Ability to interpret complex data and present information concisely and accurately.
8. Strong financial acumen including corporate financial statements, financial modelling and analysis.
9. Stakeholder management experience with the confidence to engage senior leaders and external parties.
10. Outstanding communication skills with the gravitas to handle demanding external queries.
Qualifications for the Investor Relations Analyst / Associate
11. Essential: ACA or ACCA (or equivalent professional accounting qualification).
