Senior Finance Officer
Contract – 0.8fte (4 days per week) permanent
Salary - £32,288 - £34,425 dependent on experience (pro rata = £25,830 - £27,540)
Location – National Centre for Writing, Dragon Hall, King Street, Norwich
The post of Senior Finance Officer (.80 fte) will play a key role in supporting the Trustees and Senior Management by ensuring the smooth, timely and efficient running of the finance function. The role will support the Head of Finance by maintaining and updating the financial and accounting records of the charity and commercial company; overseeing the day-to-day tasks of the finance department and assisting in the preparation of all statutory reporting. The organisation uses Sage Line 50 accounting software.
You will be AAT qualified. You will have experience of managing a small payroll, and have at least 2 years’ experience in a finance department in a small company or charity with a strong background in bookkeeping, data entry, financial planning and the production of financial reports. You will bring with you a very good working knowledge of computerised accountancy packages, Excel and other Microsoft applications. You will bring with you honesty and integrity and a high degree of accuracy in financial data entry. You will be expected to support NCW’s charitable objectives, values and ambitions and you will, ideally, have an interest in the arts particularly literature, reading and creative writing.
