Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and committed Band 7 Ward Manager in the Ophthalmology Day Surgery Unit at Ysbyty Abergele. The role focuses primarily on safe and effective discharge of day case elective surgery.
Responsibilities
* Provide high quality patient care and lead general surgical teams.
* Support and develop nursing staff, ensuring smooth shift management and effective discharge of patients.
* Keep abreast of new initiatives and interventions within nursing care.
* Drive mandatory training and other relevant courses for the ward.
* Deliver induction, staff meetings, and personal development reviews.
Qualifications
* Experienced, highly motivated individual with a Band 7 nursing background.
* Desirable: ability to speak Welsh (Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome).
