Associate Director – Project Delivery Practice

The AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure Project Delivery Practice (PDP) is the centre of excellence for the delivery of infrastructure projects. The team delivers design services across markets including Water Infrastructure, Defence Infrastructure, Nuclear, Aviation, Energy, Rail, and Urban Developments.
Responsibilities
* Lead the project team, building, motivating, and coaching the team toward solving problems and making decisions.
* Deliver projects to agreed programme, budget, and quality targets, identifying and managing any matters that could pose a potential contractual/commercial risk.
* Facilitate communication, coordination, and information flow with the client, subcontractors, and partners.
* Safeguard the commercial interest of AtkinsRéalis, including invoicing, credit control, and earned‑value reporting.
* Close out projects on completion, archiving documentation, capturing lessons learned, and initiating client satisfaction surveys.
* Operate in accordance with AtkinsRéalis Values: Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, and Innovation.
Qualifications
* Chartered Engineer, Architect, or Project Manager with demonstrable experience managing design and/or construction of large infrastructure projects.
* Experience deploying construction contracts, especially NEC3/4 or bespoke forms.
* Familiar with BIM and 3D modelling tools for design and coordination.
* Customer‑focused with excellent client‑relationship skills and an understanding of assurance and compliance principles.
* Self‑motivated, able to work independently and within a larger multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills; collaborative approach to stakeholder management.
* Willing to travel across the UK and work away from home on client sites when required.

Security Clearance
This role may require security clearance. Offers of employment will depend on obtaining the relevant level of clearance, delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV). Candidates will be asked to provide proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer.
