I'm looking for an experienced Lead Piping Designer to join a growing Projects Group on an initial 6-month contract based in Cheshire đź’Ą
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and mentor a design team working on projects across energy, chemical and highly regulated sectors.
💡 What you’ll be doing
Leading a team of piping designers, 3D designers and draughtspersons
Delivering 2D & 3D drawings, models, and piping deliverables using AutoCAD Plant 3D and more
Overseeing piping design across all project stages – from concept through to commissioning
Ensuring technical excellence while meeting client specifications and deadlines
Liaising with multiple disciplines and supporting wider CAD requirements
Providing mentoring and guidance to junior team members
✅ What we’re looking for
Proven experience in 3D piping design within regulated industries
Strong knowledge of industry standards (ASME, BSi, ISO)
Skilled in AutoCAD Plant 3D and associated tools
Strategic thinker with excellent communication and leadership skills
Must hold (or be eligible to obtain) SC clearance
