Job Summary

Job Title: Deputy On Shift
Location: Castleford Lane Children’s Home – Ferrybridge
Salary: £40,750 - £41,750 per annum
Hours: This role is working on shift (37 hours) with additional office hours (8) making this position 45 hours per week.
Sleep ins: £5,175 per annum (based on 10 sleep ins per month)
Shift Pattern: 1 shift on, 2 shifts off
Annual Performance Bonus: £750
Ofsted Outstanding Bonus: £625

About Town Street

Castleford Lane is one of Hexagon Care Service’s therapeutic children’s home. This children’s home follows a therapeutic model of care, supported by our very own psychologists. The therapy team work closely with the staff and young people in our therapy homes, they have extensive knowledge and understanding of children with complex needs and will be working with both staff and young people to ensure the delivery of care consistently meets the needs of the young people.

About The Role

We are seeking to appoint a deputy on shift to assist the registered manager with the running of the home. This vacancy has arisen due to an internal promotion, reflecting our commitment to developing and progressing our team. We specifically require a qualified candidate who has previously been a senior support worker/team leader or Deputy Manager within a children's home. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from candidates with a background of working in adult Services, schools, nurseries, or domiciliary care.

This role is working on shift with additional office hours making this position 45 hours per week.

If you are a Senior RSW with a minimum of 12 months experience working shifts and looking for that step up to be a deputy manager, with the interest of one day running your own service, you are encouraged to apply.

Essential criteria to be a Deputy on Shift:

1. Suitable experience at senior level/shift leader level within a children’s home
2. Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People or QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
3. Full current & valid driving licence

Please note, Hexagon Care Services does not hold a sponsorship licence and as such we are unable to support any candidates who do not already have right to work. This is a permanent position, if you have right to work but with an expiry date, we are more than welcome to receive your application but please note you would only be eligible for an interim contract linked to your RTW expiry.
