Department Overview
Our business systems are central to our operations, ensuring quality, environmental responsibility, risk management, and legal compliance. We go beyond legal minimums because acting responsibly matters. Our team maintains effective ISO and other certified systems, controls, and audits, and reports on risk, governance, and corporate responsibility to the Board of Directors.
Role Overview
We seek a high-caliber professional to manage the Governance team, improving our systems, policies, and procedures aligned with business strategy. This role involves providing ESG and corporate QSH guidance, ensuring risk and contractual considerations are integrated into business activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Understand and develop business management systems in a digital workplace
* Maintain ISO standards certifications: 9001, 14001, 45001, 19650
* Implement standards across KSA and European operations, subsidiaries, and JVs
* Manage budgets and chair various committees (compliance, sustainability, social, ESG)
* Support bid responses and promote RLB through awards submissions
* Manage relationships with external bodies and suppliers
* Collaborate with stakeholders, report on governance, and identify improvements
* Line manage a team of 3 associates and 1 senior team member
* Work with ESG teams to achieve net zero targets
* Assess supplier compliance (modern slavery, bribery, etc.)
* Review and maintain risk registers and governance policies
* Coordinate annual reporting, including Directors’ report and compliance with SECR and Section 172
* Regularly review policies and report on governance KPIs
* Advise operational teams on ESG compliance and promote continuous improvement
* Coordinate with technical and IT teams on confidential data management and policies
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will deliver high customer service levels, possess good commercial awareness, and demonstrate attention to detail. Experience with ISO standards, management systems, and audits is encouraged. Essential/Highly Desirable qualifications include:
* Senior management compliance experience
* Chartered CQI or IEMA
* ESG reporting and carbon footprint experience
* Management systems improvement and project management skills
* Ability to evaluate initiatives via KPIs and ROI
* Strong business acumen and teamwork skills under deadlines
* ISO27001 awareness
* Excellent communication skills
