About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated registered Nurse to join our excellent team of nursing.
We are looking for a high calibre, fully trained individual with great attention to detail and excellent team player skills to join the team and support the clinical service it provides.
Job Specification:
* To be responsible for the assessment, planning implementation, and evaluation of care needs of individual patients undergoing treatments in their care.
* To perform ultrasound scanning of all fertility patients including diagnostic scans and administration of drugs relevant to patient's treatment.
* To interpret and integrate information and results to determine appropriate procedures needed.
* To collaborate with consultants in managing in patient's treatment cycles and accept new patients into the IVF programmes.
* To provide necessary information to all patients prior to treatment and through ongoing care in order to aid informed consent.
* To maintain and review patients records, charts and other pertinent information and manage clinical caseloads.
* To contribute to the continuing development of professional nursing practice with the unit, embracing growth through new ideas and change for the benefit of patient care.
* To be part of and work with multi-disciplinary teams implementing the strategic objectives as directed by Director of Clinical Services.
Person Specification:
To be successful you shall be registered Nurse with good understanding of IVF/ICSI treatments and protocols. Have the aptitude to work to department targets, build relationships with patients, encouraging them to complete their treatment.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
* Bachelor 's degree or Master's degree in nursing.
* NMC Registration.
* 2 years Nursing experience
* Fertility background (desirable)
* Theatre and/or gynaecology experience (desirable)
* Experience with follicular tracking and working towards intrauterine insemination (desirable).
* Approved Nurse Prescriber Qualification (desirable).
* Gynaecology, fertility, and ultrasound experience (preferable).
* Women's health experience strongly preferred.
* Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
Salary from £34,000 depending on experience
