Key Accountabilities
* Provide office-based support to brokers, helping maximise new business opportunities across the mortgage division.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with broker partners, as well as internal teams including underwriting, sales, and broker support.
* Handle incoming calls and emails from brokers regarding new and existing loan referrals, applications, or system queries.
* Assess complex referrals and affordability cases at an early stage, liaising with underwriting management to ensure efficient decisions.
* Review new applications to confirm they meet packaging requirements and qualifying criteria.
* Collect fees associated with mortgage applications.
* Gain and maintain a strong understanding of West One's lending policy, criteria, and products.
* Develop expertise in our broker portal and Fusion system to support brokers with technical queries.
* Support the sales team by helping deliver training to new and existing brokers.
* Manage and respond to enquiries from mortgage intermediaries and the public via the website.
* Follow up with introducers on documentation, applications, and pipeline cases to keep them moving forward.
* Update spreadsheets, manage system data, and produce accurate reports.
* Contribute to system development, testing, and process improvements when required.
