Position Overview
As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the controller to maximize the operational availability of our equipment. Your mission? To perform timely and efficient routine maintenance, conduct thorough machine inspections, and identify potential issues before they impact our customers. You’ll be an ambassador for safety, ensuring that every service promotes a secure environment for both yourself and our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Preventative Maintenance Servicing: Carry out routine servicing of equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines (75%)
* Machine Inspection: Conduct visual and mechanical analyses to identify developing issues (20%)
* Minor Repairs: Complete minor repairs and installations as needed (5%)

Working Conditions
This is a field-based role, and it’s essential that you hold a full driving license for at least 2 years. Your working hours will be 43 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times. The typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, with one Saturday every three weeks at an overtime rate.
What You’ll Need
We’re looking for candidates with:
* A basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, powertrain, and vehicle electrics/electronics
* Direct experience (around 3 years) in a related engineering function, such as car mechanic, HGV fitter, or agricultural engineer
* A formal apprenticeship qualification (C&G level 1) is desirable
* Health & Safety training (further training will be provided)
