Job Title: Deputy Manager - Care
Salary: £17.94ph plus 10% SMART objectives bonus paid quarterly
Hours: Full Time 7am-7pm, 3-4 days per week - Half Supernumerary time and half working on the floor (including alternate weekends)

About Nightingale
Nightingale Nursing & Care Home is based in the centre of Edwinstowe, near Mansfield. The home, although purpose-built, has been made very homely, and has a selection of garden areas, in line with Jasmine's values and ethos. The home provides personal, nursing and dementia care to 49 residents.
Role Responsibilities as Deputy Manager - Care:
* Working alongside our Home Manager, you will achieve Jasmine's mission in our home, by ensuring all our residents are provided with the highest standards of care, and doing everything you can to develop, motivate, and improve the wellbeing of your team.
* You'll ensure care plans for our residential residents are completed within the timescales require by the company policy and ensure that all care plans are evaluated at least once a calendar month.
* You'll ensure all our team members are fully competent with medication, ensuring weekly audits are completed and medication is requested in plenty of time. Medication handling must be always carried out correctly, including ensuring all old medication is returned to the pharmacy each month and it is booked in on a timely basis
* You'll have supernumerary time built into your role, allowing you to focus on compliance, leadership, and quality assurance, rather than being tied to floor shifts.
Essential Requirements for Deputy Manager - Care
* Relevant Professional qualification (e.g. Registered Nurse or minimum Level 3 in Health and Social Care).
* Minimum of three years' experience in residential / nursing home setting of which at least one year must be with people living with dementia.
* Awareness of the principles of Person-Centred Care Planning.
* To ensure knowledge is gained to demonstrate a good understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults, recognition of the signs of abuse and procedures to follow in the event of an allegation of abuse.
* Live within 30 minutes of the Home.
* Leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Medicine Management.
* Ability to provide high standards of care and work under pressure.
* Time management and flexibility with working hours.
* Written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to balance supernumerary leadership duties with a visible and supportive presence on the floor.
