Are you passionate about delivering exceptional IT support and ensuring seamless user experiences in a Medical environment? We are looking for a proactive and customer‑focused Service Desk Analyst to join our strong IT team. You will be the first point of contact for technical issues, providing timely and effective support to end‑users across the organisation and manage a multi‑factor hardware selection of our estate.
Main Duties
* Act as ambassadors for the Information Services department, communicating effectively and courteously, providing an excellent front‑of‑house function, dealing with sensitive or confidential information appropriately, and explaining technical information to non‑technical users.
* Provide first‑ and second‑line IT technical assistance, training and advice on the operational support of PCs, printers and other associated hardware, in person, by telephone, by email or via remote control.
* Provide first‑ and second‑line support for a range of software centred around but not limited to the Microsoft platform, a variety of mobile devices and NHS digital solutions.
* Act in an advisory capacity to Trust IT users, dealing with a wide range of unexpected incidents and problems and determining a course of action or response to reported issues.
* Work with the Trust Smart Card Estate and assist users with their implementation.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
* Educated to A – C GCSE standard or equivalent (e.g., City and Guilds, NVQ3).
* Providing a customer service function.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
* Proven IT system administration skills.
Desirable Criteria
* ITIL Qualification.
* Experience with NHS systems and processes.
* Theoretical and practical knowledge of personal computers and their major components to an intermediate level, e.g., able to replace items such as memory and expansion cards.
