MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Contract duration: 5 Month contract (Outside IR35) – Renewable
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in power systems and military-grade equipment. The role involves producing detailed drawings, supporting mechanical design efforts, and supporting prototype builds and testing phases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce drawings for equipment such as generators and distribution systems.
* Support and contribute to the mechanical design of systems and support structures.
* Provide engineering support during prototype, testing, and qualification phases.
* Conduct design reviews and manage configuration in collaboration with engineering teams.
Requirements:
* Over 5 years’ experience in design engineering, particularly with generators and distribution equipment.
* Proficient in AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.
* Familiarity with MOD and Defence Standards.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes for military-grade equipment.
* Must hold or be eligible for BPSS clearance.
