Quantity Surveyor
Permanent | South Wales
Salary: Starting £34,000 p/a (Graduate) – £45,000–£50,000 p/a (Experienced)
Bridgestone Group are delighted to be recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well‑established Cardiff‑based organisation on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for both graduates / newly qualified QS professionals as well as experienced Quantity Surveyors looking to grow their commercial career within a specialist subcontracting environment.
You’ll play an important role in cost planning, commercial control and financial management across a range of construction projects. Working closely with internal stakeholders, architects, contractors and external partners, you’ll support the full project lifecycle from tender through to final accounts.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare cost plans, estimates and bills of quantities for curtain walling, window, door and façade packages.
* Provide commercial input during early client engagement and concept development.
* Collaborate closely with architects, project managers and contractors during planning and coordination stages.
* Prepare, negotiate and manage contracts, sub‑contractor orders and variations.
* Monitor and control project costs, forecasts, budgets and cash flow.
* Carry out valuations, site measurements and assist in final account preparation.
* Offer commercial support and advice to the wider project team.
* Ensure full compliance with company procedures, contractual obligations and industry standards.

You will bring:
* Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent).
* Strong analytical skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail.

* A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
