Well-regarded Private Client team at this law firm in Reading is looking to recruit a contentious Trusts & Probate lawyer of 1 or more years’ PQE. The Contentious Trusts & Probate team deals with a wide range of contentious matters with the team working closely with the non-contentious Wills, Trusts and Estates team. The day-to-day caseload involves the full range of contentious trusts and probate matters including: • Inheritance Act claims for Claimants and Defendants • claims involving challenges to the validity of Wills • executor/ administrator disputes (including removal of executor applications) and estate administration disputes • Court of Protection disputes as well as various types of trust disputes. You will be expected to run your own matters (with an appropriate level of Partner supervision depending on your PQE), as well as working with colleagues on larger matters. Ideally, you’ll already have experience of contentious trusts and probate work and non-contentious private client work during your training contract and/or early career.
